| dc.description | The present work approaches the importance of the preventive work conceived with a more and
more integral, global and positive approach that offers the possibility to work as a system of planned
influences, complex and articulate, that allows to be early to the possible difficulties that can arise in
the process, in the educational environment or to correct y/o to already compensate the barriers
existent, eliminating or attenuating the conditions that provoke them. It is for this reason that in the
educational institutions he/she is paid special attention to carry out it, to the orientation to the families.
Since at the moment they are subjected to the demands that it imposes the social development and
under those new conditions the realization of its educational task is necessary. For these reasons it
becomes necessary to analyze actions to keep in mind for the preventive work from the orientation to

| dc.description.abstract | La orientación a las familias en la educación especial en general y las de los educandos con
discapacidad intelectual y manifestaciones de hiperactividad en particular, revela la necesidad de
prestar especial atención a estas y ayudarlas a buscar vías para desempeñar con éxito su función
educativa. El trabajo tiene como objetivo: elaborar un sistema de talleres que contribuya a la
orientación de las familias para el tratamiento de la hiperactividad en los educandos con
discapacidad intelectual de noveno grado en la institución educativa “Juan Manuel Fernández
Duque” del municipio Colón. Para ello, se asume la dialéctica materialista, como método rector del
conocimiento que sustenta la selección de métodos de carácter teórico como el histórico-lógico analítico-sintético; el inductivo-deductivo y la modelación. Como métodos empíricos se emplean la
observación, la entrevista, la encuesta y como método estadístico el análisis porcentual. Se
