System of communicative activities to develop english listening comprehension in level a1 students.
Resumen
Studies in language learning have indicated that listening comprehension plays an
important role in the learning process. Regardless of its importance, listening has
been somewhat disregarded in second language learning, also in research, and
teaching. Listening is a fundamental component of the teaching-learning process of
English as a foreign language, and it is vital in the education of future professionals.
The study suggests that listening comprehension is the skill in which students feel
they have achieved the least success, also, one of the challenging activities to train
them to be able to respond and be well-comprehend to the information they listen.
The present research brings about a scientific problem on the development of
listening comprehension skill in A1 Level students of the Major Program in Accountant
and Finances. The aim of the paper is to analyze how communicative activities into
listening training could be useful for students, mainly in developing listening
comprehension in order to achieve the main goal of learning a foreign language. The
systematization of the theory, supported by the application of the dialecticalmaterialistic method, as well as theoretical and empirical ones, gave the authoress
the opportunity to elaborate a system of communicative activities to improve the
students listening skills on the mentioned area. The system includes objective,
indicators to be considered for the evaluation, bibliography, and methodology to be
followed. The practical significance of the research brings about a possible solution to
listening comprehension problems in Accountant and Finances Majoring.
